At Raylo, we understand that life happens, and your device might show some signs of use by the time your lease ends. We want to make it easy and clear for you to know what kind of wear and tear is acceptable when returning your device, and when you might face repair charges.

It's ok to return your device with:

  • Minor cosmetic wear: This includes obvious signs of regular use, such as a couple of deep scratches (2 or fewer on front glass, each less than 3cm in length), small dents, slight discolouration, or changes in the paintwork. These kinds of wear are completely normal and won’t result in additional charges when returned.

It's not ok to return your device with:

  • Cracks: Any cracks on the device, whether on the screen or the body, fall outside of wear and tear.

  • Significant cosmetic damage: This includes deep scratching, chips, cracks and more significant dents. These may result in a repair charge.

  • Functional faults: If the device has any functional issues, such as a broken speaker, missing accessories, damaged buttons, or other operational problems, these will also lead to repair charges.

To get a full understanding of potential repair charges, you can review our Repair Charge Grade Details for more information.
