Once your claim is accepted by Pier Insurance, the next steps depend on the type of claim. Here’s a breakdown of what happens and how you’ll get back up and running with your device.
For accidental damage claims:
You’ll have two repair options to choose from:
Take it in:
Visit an Authorised Repair Centre to get your device repaired quickly.
This is typically faster than sending it off, so you can get back to using your device sooner.
Tip: Once you receive a repair quotation, share it with Pier Insurance. After the repair is completed, submit the final receipt, and Pier will process a cash settlement (minus the excess). You can email both the quotation and final receipt to [email protected].
Send it in:
Pier Insurance will provide instructions so you can mail your device to the repairs centre.
Repairs are typically completed within 2 working days once the device is received.
If your item cannot be repaired, Pier Insurance will arrange for a replacement device to be sent to you.
Claims accepted by Pier Insurance before 3 pm will be fulfilled the same day.
Your replacement device will be packaged and collected by DPD for next-day delivery.
You’ll receive an email with your delivery date and tracking details.
Note: If your device needs to be replaced, you’ll need to pay the excess before your replacement device is shipped.
For loss or theft claims:
If your device is lost or stolen, Pier Insurance will arrange for a replacement device to be sent to you.
Claims accepted by Pier Insurance before 3 pm will be fulfilled the same day.
Your replacement device will be packaged and collected by DPD for next-day delivery.
You’ll receive an email with your delivery date and tracking details.
Note: You’ll need to pay the excess before your replacement device is shipped.
What if my claim is rejected?
