Sending your Apple Watch back to us? If you've opened or used the device, you'll need to complete a few steps to ensure it can be processed at our end.
Please note: If you don't complete all of the following, we may have to send your device back to you.
You’ll need to turn off the Activation Lock and remove your personal information from your device before sending it back - here’s how.
Hold your Apple watch and iPhone close together
Open the ‘Watch’ app on your phone and tap on ‘My Watch’ tab.
Tap ‘All watches’
Tap the information button beside the name of your watch.
Tap ‘Unpair Apple Watch’, then tap ‘Unpair’ again to confirm.
Tap ‘Remove Mobile Data Plan’ - only needed if you have a GPS + Cellular watch.
Input your Apple ID password.
Tap again to confirm. When you unpair, your phone will try to create a backup of your watch. This means if you get a new watch, you can use the backup to set it up.
