Turning on your iPad. Press and hold the top button until the Apple logo appears. You may need to charge your iPad, if it doesn’t turn on.

Force restart. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest the top button, press and quickly release the other volume button, then press and hold the top button until the Apple logo appears.

Adjusting the volume. Use the volume buttons on iPad to adjust the volume of songs and other media, alerts, and sound effects. (The volume buttons are either on the side or the top of your device, depending on your model.)

You can use Control Centre to silence audio alerts and notifications.
