How to lock your Samsung Device
If you've lost your Samsung device, you can quickly secure it by activating Lost Mode. Follow the steps below to lock it and add a contact message via the app or on the web.
Using Samsung SmartThings (App)
1. Launch the SmartThings App:
Open the SmartThings app on another phone or tablet
Log in with the Samsung account linked to your missing device
2. Go to the Find Section:
Tap on the Life tab at the bottom of the screen
Select Find
3. Choose Your Missing Device:
Pick your lost Samsung device from the displayed list
4. Enable Lost Mode:
Tap Lock or Lost Mode
Enter the following details:
A temporary PIN (required)
Your contact phone number (optional but recommended)
A message to display on the device's screen (optional)
5. Confirm Your Selection:
Double-check the entered information
Tap Lock or Activate to finalise
Using Samsung SmartThings Find (Web)
1. Visit Find My Mobile:
Go to findmymobile.samsung.com using any browser
Log in using your Samsung account credentials
2. Select Your Missing Device:
Choose your lost device from the list of registered devices
3. Activate Lost Mode:
Click Lock
Set a temporary PIN and optionally enter a contact number and custom message
4. Confirm and Lock:
Confirm your choices and click Lock to secure your device
What Happens After Activation?
Your device locks instantly.
The provided message and contact number (if entered) appear on the screen.
Location tracking remains active to assist you in recovering your device.
