How to lock your Google Device using Find Hub

Using Google's Find Hub (Web)

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Visit Find Hub:

  • Go to android.com/find on any web browser.

  • Log in with the Google account linked to your missing device.

2. Select Your Device:

  • Choose your lost device from the list of available devices displayed on the left-hand side of the screen.

3. Activate Secure Device:

  • Click on Secure Device.

  • You’ll be prompted to enter:

    • A new temporary password.

    • A recovery message (optional, but helpful).

    • Your contact number (optional but recommended).

4. Confirm and Secure:

  • Double-check your entered information.

  • Click Secure Device to confirm.

What Happens After Activation?

  • Your device will lock immediately.

  • Your recovery message and contact number (if provided) will appear on the locked screen.

  • Location tracking remains enabled to help you locate your device.

Unlocking Your Device:

  • Enter the temporary password on your device once you recover it.
